Abstract:
Cucurbit[6]-, [7]-, and [8]uril can catalyze the silver(I)-promoted desilylation of trimethylsilylalkynyl-containing pseudorotaxanes by stabilizing a key pi-alkynyl silver intermediate through favorable interactions between the metallic cation and the cavitand carbonylated portal.
