Elective thoracic aortic aneurysm surgery: better outcomes from high-volume centers

High-volume centers significantly improve thoracic aortic aneurysm repair outcomes, reducing mortality and costs. While lower-volume centers had fewer strokes, high-volume centers demonstrated superior overall results.

- HV centers demonstrated better overall outcomes, lower mortality rates, and reduced costs for thoracic aortic aneurysm repair compared to LV centers.
- Despite a higher stroke rate, the overall benefits of HV centers suggest a volume-outcome relationship in this surgical domain.
