[Accidental vaginal administration of colon contrast medium]

We report on a case of vaginal application of colon-contrast-medium in an 84 year old woman. Severe vaginal bleeding occurred due to two vaginal tears which had to be sutured. The patient could be transferred to another hospital in good condition after four days. In the literature nine similar cases are reported, four of which in forensic journals. Seven cases ended lethally.
