Background:

  • The baculovirus expression vector system (BEVS) is valuable for eukaryotic protein expression, mimicking mammalian cell modifications.
  • However, BEVS yields are often low, increasing production costs compared to bacterial systems.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To enhance recombinant protein expression levels in BEVS.
  • To investigate the impact of integrating baculovirus homologous region1 (hr1) into expression vectors.

  • Engineered bacmid-based transfer vectors with and without hr1.
  • Cloned reporter, PKB-A, and CYP-1A2 genes into these constructs.
