Thyroid function outcomes after pegylated interferon-α and ribavirin therapy for chronic hepatitis C

New thyroid disease is rare after hepatitis C treatment with interferon-alfa and ribavirin. Only 1% of patients developed thyroid issues within six months post-therapy, suggesting limited need for routine thyroid monitoring.
