Exogenous attention differentially modulates the processing of categorical and coordinate spatial relations

Exogenous attention benefits categorical spatial relations more than coordinate ones. It can even impair coordinate spatial processing when tasks are difficult, suggesting attention differentially modulates spatial relation types.
