Abstract:
Mathematical model of the volume flux through system of two membranes (double-membrane system) with concentration boundary layers on both sides of each membranes, is presented. This model, based on the Kedem-Katchalsky equations, is equation of fifth degree and describes the volume flux generated by osmotic forces for non-homogeneous and non-ionic solutions.
