Clindamycin, a new antibiotic in otolaryngological infections
Abstract:
Clindamycin, a new semi-synthetic derivative of lincomycin was evaluated in the treatment of otorhinolaryngological infections in 65 patients. Excellent or good clinical and bacteriological response was seen in all cases. Liver function and hematological examinations were unaffected by the antibiotic. Side effects were seen in three patients who developed mild diarrhea not necessitating discontinuation of therapy.
