  • A subgroup with access to an online reminder showed significantly better performance compared to those without (p = .043).
  • Baseline guideline adherence was 50.5% for the intervention group and 43.7% for the control group, with no significant difference at follow-up.

Conclusions:

  • Online access to clinical decision support recommendations may positively influence decisions regarding diagnostic imaging orders.
  • Didactic educational presentations alone were insufficient to change the perceived need for diagnostic imaging studies.
