Serum levels of natriuretic peptides, including N-terminal proatriopeptide (ANPN) and N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP), decreased in children with univentricular heart (UVH) disease during treatment. However, NT-proBNP levels remained elevated compared to controls, indicating ongoing volume overload.
