Summary

Human papillomavirus type 7 (HPV-7) causes condyloma, not just butcher's warts. This finding clarifies HPV-7's role in skin lesions and informs clinical practice.

  • Histopathology revealed acanthosis, papillomatosis, parakeratosis, and hyperkeratotic perinuclear vacuolation.

Findings:

  • HPV-7 DNA was detected in both patient condylomas using Southern blot analysis.
  • This confirms HPV-7 as the causative agent of these specific condyloma lesions.
