[Use of lasers in orthopaedics.]

In the introduction the authors draw attention to the physical properties of laser radiation and its effect on living tissue. They deal also with characteristics and properties of different types of lasers. In the second part they discuss possibilities of the use of lasers in orthopaedic practice.
