Successful conservative management of cervical ectopic pregnancy: a case series

Objective:
To report our experience of conservative treatment in four patients with cervical ectopic pregnancy.
Design:
Case series.
Setting:
Academic medical center.
Patients:
Four women diagnosed with cervical ectopic pregnancy managed conservatively.
Intervention(S):
Systemic methotrexate alone or combined with subsequent uterine artery embolization (UAE).
Main Outcome Measures:
Conservative management with decreased rate of serious complications.
Results:
No hysterectomies were needed. One patient required subsequent intervention, UAE.
Conclusion:
Conservative treatment of cervical pregnancy might be successful with careful follow up and subsequent conservative interventions.
