    Summary

    This case study reveals lambda light chain crystals within lymphocytes of a patient with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). These findings suggest potential defects in immunoglobulin synthesis or transport in CLL.

    Background:

    • Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is a mature B-cell malignancy.
    • Immunoglobulin (Ig) synthesis and secretion are key functions of B-cells.

    Observation:

    • A case of CLL presented with unusual intracytoplasmic crystalline inclusions in peripheral blood lymphocytes.
    • These inclusions were identified as crystals of lambda light chain.

    Findings:

    • The lambda light chain crystals were observed within bone marrow-derived (B-cells) lymphocytes.
    • This suggests a specific abnormality related to immunoglobulin light chain processing in this CLL case.

    Implications:
