In this study 55 women (38 pregnant women without renal complications and 17 patients suffering from renal symptoms) are prospectively examined between the 16th week of pregnancy and 2 weeks after delivery using nephrosonography. Our results underline the value of the nephrosonographic investigation of the maternal kidneys during pregnancy and make clear the "physiologic" changes of renal parameters.
