Reconstruction of large scar areas with controlled tissue expansion combined with fasciocutaneous flaps

Controlled tissue expansion and fasciocutaneous flaps are useful in the aesthetic and functional reconstruction of scar areas. We present three cases, in which we have combined both methods with improved results. Large scar areas were reconstructed with minimal donor-site morbidity.
