Does the medial orbitofrontal cortex have a role in social valuation?

Investigating the ventromedial prefrontal cortex (vmPFC), this study found that medial orbitofrontal cortex (mOFC) lesions do not alter social valuation. However, mOFC lesions caused mild decision-making impairments, suggesting distinct vmPFC subregions mediate these functions.
