[Late results of herniotomy]

In 901 patient, a long-term result of herniotomy performed within 1977-1987 was studied. Dependence of the incidence of hernia recurrencies on a type of hernia, method of plasty, urgency of operation, age and sex of the patients, time of a recurrency development was noted. In 20% of the patients at the moment of herniotomy, the concomitant diseases were present, which required performance of reoperations at the nearest years.
