Background:

  • Endometriosis is characterized by ectopic endometrial tissue.
  • Endometrioma is a term used when endometriosis exhibits tumoral characteristics.
  • Urinary tract involvement, particularly bladder endometrioma, is an uncommon manifestation.

Observation:

  • Bladder endometrioma presents diagnostic challenges due to its rarity.
  • Standard imaging techniques (CT, ultrasound, MRI) are not pathognomonic for endometriosis.
  • A high index of clinical suspicion is crucial for timely diagnosis.

Findings:

  • Endoscopy and biopsy are essential for definitive diagnosis of bladder endometriosis.
  • The condition can lead to significant patient morbidity.
