Summary

White matter integrity in the medial temporal lobe is linked to memory function in mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Loss of white matter integrity correlates with poorer delayed verbal memory and immediate visual memory performance in MCI patients.

Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the association between white matter (WM) integrity in the medial temporal lobes and episodic memory performance in patients with amnestic MCI.
