Surgical delay of expanded skin flaps in lower limb resurfacing

We report the details of a patient in whom three expanded random pattern skin flaps were raised and transposed to repair lower limb defects. The importance of an additional surgical delay procedure is introduced and its efficacy is demonstrated.
