  • A neuropsychological battery was administered to 20 recovered unipolar depression patients and 20 healthy controls.
  • Tasks assessed executive function (Wisconsin Card Sort Test), attention, visuomotor speed, and working memory.
  • Statistical analyses controlled for subclinical depressive symptoms.

  • Recovered depressed individuals performed significantly worse on planning and problem-solving aspects of the Wisconsin Card Sort Test compared to controls.
