Summary

Sonotubometry using perfect sequences (PSEQ) effectively detected eustachian tube (ET) openings in both healthy and impaired ears. While ET openings were frequent in diseased ears, they showed reduced amplitude and duration compared to normal ears.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the efficacy of sonotubometry with perfect sequences (PSEQ) in assessing eustachian tube function.
  • To investigate the characteristics of ET openings in healthy versus impaired ears using PSEQ.
  • To compare the frequency, amplitude, and duration of ET openings induced by physiological maneuvers.
