Summary

Motor cortex stimulation may offer a slight benefit for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) progression. One patient receiving repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) showed reduced disease deterioration over two years.

Background:

  • Motor cortex stimulation is a proposed treatment for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
