[Evaluation of the treatment effect of bruxism using two occlusal splint]

Purpose:
To compare the clinical treatment effect of bruxism by using group functional occlusion splint and canine protect occlusion splint.
Methods:
Group functional occlusion splint and canine protect occlusion splint were made, the patients were asked to wear the splint during night,the clinical effect was evaluated and compared using SPSS10.0 software package for Chi-square test.
Results:
The successful rate of treatment of bruxism was 79.16% in group functional occlusion splint, while the successful rate of treatment of bruxism was 83.33% in canine protect occlusion splint.
Conclusion:
Two kinds of occlusion splints have similar curative effect for bruxism.
