Advances in liver transplantation have improved outcomes for ABO-incompatible (ABOi) living donor liver transplantation (LDLT). Treatment breakthroughs, including local graft infusion and rituximab, have made ABOi LDLT results comparable to ABO-compatible procedures in Japan.
