Background:

The Laryngeal Mask Airway CTrach is an innovative variant of the intubating LMA.
Effective airway management is crucial in surgical procedures.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate the efficacy and safety of the LMA CTrach for endotracheal intubation and ventilation.
To assess laryngeal visualization during intubation using the LMA CTrach.

Main Methods:

A preliminary study involving 20 patients undergoing elective surgery with general anesthesia.
Assessment of LMA CTrach insertion success rate, time, and laryngeal view quality.
Monitoring of endotracheal tube (ETT) intubation success, time, and procedure duration.
Evaluation of patient complications and hemodynamic parameters.

Main Results:

Successful LMA CTrach insertion and ventilation in all patients on the first attempt (36.75 +/- 2.12 sec).
Laryngeal visualization achieved in 95% of cases; successful ET intubation in all patients (60.5 +/- 5.15 sec).
No complications or adverse hemodynamic events were reported; uneventful postoperative period.

Conclusions:

The LMA CTrach is a promising tool for airway management, facilitating successful intubation and ventilation.
The device provides adequate laryngeal visualization in the majority of patients.
The LMA CTrach is a safe and effective option for elective surgeries requiring general anesthesia.
