Abstract:
With the development of devices and the integration with fluoroscopy/ultrasonography, numerous endoscopic-related procedures have made rapid progress. The usefulness of endosonography-related procedures such as biliary drainage, pancreatic duct drainage, gallbladder drainage, pancreatic pseudocyst drainage, and celiac plexus block have been reported. ERCP-related procedures such as removal of bile duct stones, biliary drainage, and pancreatic duct drainage have been widely accepted as the standard treatment. The efficacy of transpapillary gallbladder drainage for acute cholecystitis and endoscopic papillectomy for ampullary neoplasm has also been reported.
