[The effect of xymedon on healing of linear wounds]

In the experiment on 173 rats the stimulating effect of xymedon on the processes of reparative regeneration in a wound was established. This effect manifests itself in increasing the elasticity and strength of the cicatricial tissue. The use of xymedon in the clinic permitted to improve the course of postoperative period in patients with uncomplicated forms of acute appendicitis and reduce the incidence of complications of the wound healing.
