Summary

Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) show superior performance in chitosan hydrogels for tissue engineering nucleus pulposus compared to nucleus pulposus cells (NPCs). BMSCs exhibit better cell shape, proliferation, and extracellular matrix production, making them ideal for injectable nucleus pulposus regeneration.
