Summary

Antimicrobial needleless connectors can harbor bacteria, increasing infection risk. The RyMed-7001(®) demonstrated the lowest bacterial colonization, unlike the Baxter V-Link™, highlighting the importance of connector design in preventing catheter-related bloodstream infections (CR-BSI).
