Bone graft reconstruction in conjunction with Branemark fixture placement
Abstract:
Successful oral rehabilitation utilizing the Branemark osseointegration method of surgery has proven to be an effective routine method of treatment in complete and partial edentulism. In most situations, there is adequate residual alveolar bone to accommodate fixture placement without utilizing bone graft procedure. In some instances involving extreme resorption, traumatic or oncologic defects, cleft deformities or aplasia/hypoplasia congenital conditions, bone graft augmentation is necessary for successful fixture placement.
