Iatrogenic hypoglycemia in type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) stems from insulin therapy and impaired counter-regulatory responses, causing significant morbidity. New treatments regulating insulin secretion are needed to prevent hypoglycemia and achieve stable blood glucose levels.
