Abstract:
The results of surgical treatment of inguinal hernias in 85 elderly and old-aged patients are analysed. All of the operations were carried out in a planned order, no recurrences were encountered. The author concludes that wider consideration of indications for planned herniotomy and strict individualization of indications for the operation will lead to improvement of the results of treatment of this category of patients.
