Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the role of sonographic urethrogram in the preoperative assessment of adolescent urethral stricture disease.
  • To compare the accuracy of sonographic urethrogram with retrograde urethrogram in measuring stricture length.
  • To determine if sonographic urethrogram can improve preoperative planning for pediatric urethral strictures.

Main Methods:

  • Retrospective evaluation of 12 pediatric patients with urethral stricture disease between June 2008 and February 2009.

  • Improved accuracy in stricture length measurement can lead to better preoperative planning and surgical outcomes.
