Purpose of the Study:

  • To assess trust and confidence levels among Finnish military conscripts regarding biopreparedness authorities.
  • To differentiate trust in information versus confidence in protective capabilities during natural and bioterrorism-related outbreaks.

  • A written questionnaire was administered to 953 male military conscripts in the armored brigade.
  • Data collected in July 2007 assessed trust in information and confidence in protection by authorities and media.
