Abstract:
Plasma estrone (E1), estradiol (E2) and estriol (E3) levels were determined in 51 cases of cervical cancer and 52 normal postmenopausal women. It was found that the plasma E1, E2 and E3 levels in cervical cancer patients were higher than those in normal postmenopausal women. There was a significant difference in E1 and E3 between the two groups (P less than 0.05). E1/E2, E2/E3, E1/E3 and E1/E2 + E3 were measured in the two groups. E1/E2 ratio in cervical cancer patients was higher than that in normal postmenopausal women (P less than 0.05).
