Abstract:
A strong incomplete and complement-fixing anti-Dia within Diego blood group system was found in the serum of a Polish mother who gave birth to a newborn suffering from a severe haemolytic disease. In family studies of three generations Dia antigen in three persons was detected and its hereditary character was confirmed. The whole family is of Polish origin.
