Stem cell factor receptor KIT (CD117) in aseptic hip prosthesis loosening

Stem cell factor receptor KIT (CD117) is primarily found in mast cells in aseptic hip prosthesis loosening (AHPL). These mast cells do not significantly contain polyethylene particles, suggesting a potential role in AHPL pathogenesis.
