    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To analyze Ag(x, y, a1, d, c, g) factor combinations in Caucasian populations.
    • To evaluate the compatibility of existing and a novel complex-simple framework with empirical data.

    • Analysis of 3,180 typing results from 530 individuals across two Caucasian populations (Swiss and English).

    • The complex-simple framework proposes two distinct anti-Ag reagent inclusion groups: (y > d > c) and (g > a1 > x).

    Conclusions:

    • The proposed complex-simple framework for Ag(x, y, a1, d, c, g) factors reveals population-specific incompatibilities.
    • A significant proportion of English samples, and a smaller portion of Swiss samples, deviate from the predicted inclusion groups.
    • These findings suggest limitations in current Ag factor classification and highlight the need for refined models.
