[Blood immunoglobulin E in acute pneumonia]

Elevated immunoglobulin E (IgE) levels were found in over half of patients with acute pneumonias (AP). This immune marker was particularly prevalent in those with allergies, obstructive bronchitis, and prolonged antibacterial treatment.
