Abstract:
The cleanliness of the root canal space depends more upon the root canal morphology than on the technique used for preparation. Sonic and ultrasonic devices can be useful systems to help facilitate several steps in endodontic therapy. These are: instrumentation of the coronal and middle thirds, instrumentation of ribbon-shaped canals, removal of foreign obstructions and obturation of the root canal space.
