Summary

Repeated saturation prostate biopsies (SPB) have a low detection rate (2.5%) for prostate cancer (PCa) solely in the transition zone (TZ). Transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) shows a significantly higher detection rate, suggesting SPB may be omitted for TZ-only PCa.
