Abstract:
I would like to express my deep appreciation to the Sabin Institute for this really great honor. I feel humbled to be receiving an award commemorating one of the great heroes of vaccinology, Albert Sabin, and to be in the company of past recipients of this award, all of whom I greatly admire, and many of whom have been my friends and mentors. And special thanks to my friend, colleague, and mentor, Jan Holmgren, for his overly generous introduction.
