    Abstract:

    Miniature aspheric and anamorphic plastic lenses are built from liquid droplets suspended on circular or elliptical-shaped pedestals. Refractive-index gradients are formed by the flow of premixed monomer volumes through a central conduit by the use of computer-controlled syringe pumps.

    Light rays enter the eye through the cornea, a transparent dome-shaped tissue that is the eye's outermost layer. The cornea bends or refracts, light rays traveling to the pupil.
