Autoimmune hepatitis triggered by nitrofurantoin: a case series

Nitrofurantoin, an antibiotic for urinary tract infections, can rarely trigger autoimmune hepatitis. Prompt withdrawal and immunosuppressive treatment led to recovery in three patients, highlighting the need for physician awareness.
