Are radiographic trochanteric surface irregularities associated with abductor tendon abnormalities?

Conventional radiographs showing pronounced greater trochanter surface irregularities (>2 mm) are linked to abductor tendon abnormalities on MRI. This finding aids in diagnosing hip abductor tendon issues using standard X-rays.
