Abstract:
Discussing the catamnesis of an alcoholic patient suffering from recidivous intracranial extracerebral bleeding who was subjected to 15 cranial computed tomograms and three trepanations the paper argues for a distinction between the chronic subdural haematoma and Pachymeningeosis haemorrhagica interna. It is suggested that varying therapeutic efficacy of the chronic subdural haematoma should be interpreted against the background of different pathomorphological transformations. Finally, the importance of follow-up CT-tests involving high-risk patients is emphasized.
