Summary

Recombinant interferon alpha-2b (rIFN alpha-2b) therapy significantly improved hepatitis B e-antigen (HBeAg) clearance in patients with chronic active hepatitis B. Treatment led to better biochemical and histological outcomes compared to no treatment.
