Thyroid hormone levels, specifically tri-iodine-thyronine (T3) and reverse tri-iodine-thyronine (rT3), can help predict sepsis outcomes. Low T3 levels (<35 ng/dl) indicate a higher risk of unfavorable sepsis evolution.
